M. Belanger

M. Belanger (he/they) is the founder of House Kheperu, Pagan clergy, and a seasoned instructor on past life memory work. Notable as the only visibly out intersex person working in US paranormal television, Belanger is also a Shirley Jackson, Bram Stoker, and British Fantasy Award nominee, two-time recipient of the Joseph Cotter Memorial Poetry Prize (1992-1993), Billboard Top Ten artist (2006-2007), and author of over thirty books, including the Dictionary of Demons, Lonely House, and the Shadowside Series. A National Merit Scholar with a comparative religious studies degree, Belanger also writes music with Nox Arcana and designs TTRPGs through Darkheart Games, one of which recently earned a Silver ENNIE via its inclusion in 9th Level Games’ annual Level One Anthology (2023). Intersex, introverted, and feral, Belanger resides in a cozily goth house filled with spooky books in NE Ohio.
