Patricia DeSandro

Patricia DeSandro, known as Bonadea Lyonesse in the Pagan community, is first a wisewoman/hedge witch, and then an elder high priestess of the Circean line of Romano-Celtic Wicca. She started drawing goddess figures and speaking with spirits at the age of three, much to her Christian family’s dismay, in the early 1950’s. After college, Patricia and her husband and their small children subsistence-farmed during the back-to-the-land movement in the ‘70’s. The next twenty years were all about honing her natural abilities into useful skills under the tutelage of some very unique teachers. It started with an Amish farmwife, then a Cherokee elder, two wisewoman healers, a Southern Appalachian conjureman, an Ifa priestess, and the elder high priestess/founder of the Sisterhood and Brotherhood of Wicca, known as the Witch Queen of Toledo. As Bonadea, she founded the Circle of the Sacred Grove Temple of the Old Religion and the Lyonesse line of Romano-Celtic Wicca in 1999. She serves her community through her mediumship, healing work, workshop presentations, lectures, writings, and public rituals throughout the country. She is active in the Multifaith Council of Northwest Ohio as a representative of the Pagan community. Patricia is also known for her storytelling character, Granny Root. When she is not speaking to spirits, writing, presenting, or storytelling, she is painting. Patricia is focused on building a legacy preserving the magic of the world seen through animistic eyes for her great grandchildren and all future generations.
